and my favorite movie is "Bullet" featuring Mickey Rourke and Tupac Shakur. They both played their roles, their characters brilliant!!! I can watch the movie again and againg... That was fantastic. A historical event that will always been remembered in Chinese history and the history of the Communist Dynasty. From now on, China is top dog. Indeed, I was very pleased with Pakistans great ovation from the Chinese crowd. Actually I made a list of all the countries that received big ovations (bear in mind the crowd is an international crowd, and not exclusively chinese).
The best ovations went to: Pakistan, Cuba, Iraq, Iran, Great Britain, Venezuela, France, South Africa, Russia, USA, North Korea, Switzerland (the commentator suggested this was for Federa), Italy, Mexico,
Germany, Australia, Chinese Taipei (I was very pleased at this one), Chinese Hong Kong, Singapore, and of course, China.
I think that is a great list. Nice & mixed!

There are definitely no easy games these days... even more so at the Olympics so this shouldn't come as much of a surprise. I have to say I think there's no better time for Nathan and Gail to meet the chinese no.1's. At the end of the day, they've either got what it takes or they haven't. A win will give them the confidence to railroad the tournament and well, a loss wouldn't be unexpected, given Nathan's return from injury plus the chinese track record. The biggest challenge I think will not be draws, opponents or the pressure but the line judges and referees, who are likely to be around 80-90% chinese, just staying within Olympic host rules. China have proven many times, even publicly that they are not above match fixing so I can see there being lots of dodgy line calls and service faults too. I doubt they'll take it too far with the whole world watching...but it will be just enough to rattle people like Robertson, Smith and other contenders, ensuring they make a swift exit. No doubt it'll be an uphill struggle but if there's one tournament Nathan and Gail want gold in, it's the olympics! Wouldn't it be nice to see a Clark/Kellogg vs. Robertson/Emms olympic final! I'm not sure if the draw even allows for it, but I imagine the odds are pretty slim... perhaps a trip to the bookies is in order :)

It's really sad that a few of the competitors had parents as coaches too... you have to wonder if the kids have much choice. They push their kids so so hard, they have no time to be a kid. They have been on special diets and in training since they were old enough to walk a lot of them. They are all pure muscle, not a gram of fat on them. Watching that first girls routine on floor, she looked like a rubber band, her body was going all sorts of ways I didnt think possible. I don't want any of them to hurt themselves, just when they stack it a bit-they get points taken off... aussies don't lead in the gymnastics field, so I was hoping for some errors by others, to get Monash up there!

One thing that I love about gymnastics is that I hardly ever feel resentful against any of the competitors (ok maybe sometimes towards the americas... but u know) and I never want anyone to muck up a routine or fall off an apparatus...because it's such a beautiful but tough sport and they all work so hard at trying to do it perfectly, it's heartbreaking watching when they stuff up!

I thought the Opening Ceremony was pretty good, but not the best. The opening was.. beautifully done, but since it is a sporting event I like it to start off with a blast of excitment! I was hoping they would focus more on they warrior aspect of China and be more of a festival feel then it was with dragons and lights everywhere. Maybe this is my feelings because I have spent my whole life as an athlete but I prefer loud music and almost complete chaos before I compete, it fires me up. This also could be a difference in culture, me from the United States.
Sydney has had the best opening so far, for me, those Australians know how to start an event! lol

I usually watch everything but I am just that kind of person. However, I will be on vacation for part of the Olympics so I might miss some. I like to watch gymnastics, swimming, diving and track and field. I am sorry to hear that Paul Hamm had to withdraw from men's gymnastics.

Yep, I love it too. Olympic games are beautiful! I just watched the mens' team gymnastics final & I can't remember ever being that excited about gymnastics. The Chinese athletes were simply amazing, the stunts they were doing and the strength required were unreal. USA was so close to silver, too, but Japan did extremely well in their last event. Even though we dropped from first to second and eventually to third, it was very dramatic, still a lot of fun to watch.

Cause with the advancement of genetic engineering, and with lots of money being pushed into the biotech industry, the future might be a little strange. Biotech companies will provide the service to genetically modify children, the service would obviously be very expensive. Rich families, therefore, will have better children: stronger, better looking, more intelligent and more healthy. Rich children would be modified to work better in both quantity and quality. We would have a brand of rich super-children who will be much more perfect than ourselves. Those children would continue to be richer, as they have all the genetic abilities to be so. The rest of us would be treated as a lower race, better than apes, but less than super humans. S-humans would would control everything, and we will be mere workers. We would not be able to compete with s-human's high intelligence and psychological stability. S-men would marry s-women and give birth to still more super s-children. The world would be cut horizontally.
The only way out would be for genetic engineering to become cheaper, available for all... Super child for every citizen!

I hate the beijing olympics because they are fake and materialistic people.
Why do they need to fake fireworks and singing to prove what. if it is not possible to be done dont lie to people and make them think that it is.
And the fact that china hate little girls because of thier laws and views and then plaster the opening and closing shows with little girls smiling and waving like robots makes me sick. To prove china has no democrasy and dignity, try and type girl miming singing beijing olympics or somthing on those lines into youtube and see what happens you cant watch it becasue china will be ridiculed for it so they just erase it.
How comes they can spend so much on there show for opening and closing and all this money on thier stadiums what about the amount of people dying from having no money in china and beijing, and the pollution they have and the fact they dont care they are the people destroying the world but after this olympics they are loved that is the reason i hate the beijing olympics.
Dont get me wrong the sports were amazing and very entertaining well the ones that werent judged. Every sport that was judged was won by a chinese athelete. What a suprise and then when the We, the British point it out that they are cold hearted cheats then it gets changed but the rest was a hoax, you cant tell me that thos chinese gymnast were 16 years old, its all rubbish and digusting that they forc people to believe it all. look at the real china not the olympic blanket that has been pulled over your eyes. the fact they have no democracy the money in china is the chinese goverments no one elses and will only go on materialistic things like the olympics and skyscapers and such not on things that really matter like the pollution they have and the unemplyment problems and economic problems around the world. Thats why london deserves the olympics more than any one else WE ARE THE REAL CULTURAL COUNTRY THAT CARES ABOUT THE ENVIORMENT, OUR PEOPLE, AND OUR ECONOMIC STATE not what the rest of the world think of us.

last night i was at a club talking to a cute girl and i needed to go restroom because i drank a lot. i went and when i came back a dam police officer was talking to her. i wanted very much to tell him to leave and maybe fight but he was police and too much problem and danger come with fighting police. also he had gun. i am very frustrated at the officer because i did not get to bang that night.

Evil thing. My mother never could see what the big deal was when we got the NES. Then one day after we got Bubble Bobble, she and my father were basically stumbling around half asleep for the entire day. Apparently they had stayed up and played it all night. And then we got Dr. Mario and she occupied the TV all the time. The guy next door was so hooked on Tetris and Dr. Mario at the time that it was getting crazy. He neglected his housework and there were a couple of times when I was visiting and I was given a couple of cartridges and told to hide them at my house because he had promised his missus he wouldn't play them. Since then I never play them.
